Master Christian Naggiar and his wife, Ms. Kelly, operate Hollywood Soo Bahk Do® Karate. Master Naggiar has been teaching Martial Arts to Adults, Kids, & Tots in Los Angeles, CA for over 30 years.
In addition to being fluent in English, French, and Italian, Master Naggiar is a 6th Degree Black Belt and Internationally Certified Master Instructor in the Martial Art of Soo Bahk Do® Moo Duk Kwan® Karate. He also holds a 4th Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do Korean Karate and in 2009 he became a Certified Instructor of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu as well.
When he is not training, you will find him playing drums, or on the track driving his race car!
Ms. Kelly is a 1st Degree Black Belt and Internationally Certified Instructor in Soo Bahk Do® Moo Duk Kwan® Karate. In 2009 she also became a Certified Instructor of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.
Ms. Kelly credits her training in the Martial Art of Soo Bahk Do® Moo Duk Kwan® for giving her the discipline & perseverance to battle the painful & chronic autoimmune disorder of Psoriatic Arthritis. She is grateful to the United States Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation® and especially all the Region 9 Master Instructors for their understanding in allowing her to modify certain movements & techniques to accommodate for her physical challenges.
Hollywood Soo Bahk Do® Karate is an Internationally Certified School with the United States Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation®. When training in the Martial Arts with Hollywood Soo Bahk Do® Karate, you will have the opportunity to test for & achieve internationally certified & recognized rank promotions of all levels, from white belt through every degree of Black Belt.
Supporting and guiding a student from white belt to Black Belt is extremely challenging...but very rewarding and gratifying. The journey takes consistent training, dedication, and sacrifice. The student/Instructor relationship that is developed during that journey becomes very special and valuable; respect and trust are the foundation it is built on.
Over the 30 plus years at Hollywood Soo Bahk Do® Karate, even though Master Naggiar has been fortunate enough to have helped over one hundred students earn their Black Belts in the Martial Arts, they are all as special as the first one!

"I have spent the last year and a half observing my daughter in the studio under the direction of Master Christian Naggiar. I appreciate investing in Soo Bahk Do because I see the discipline learned there transcend into her school life, home life, and social life. What separates this martial art from others is that Soo Bahk Do specifies the incorporation of a multitude of values such as courage, honesty, endurance, concentration, and humility.
The experience of competition can also be very important and motivating but instead if competing with others, Soo Bahk Do provides an environment to teach children how to compete with themselves allowing them to construct the next best version of themselves. It provides them with the space to recognize and tend to their own internal and external strength.
My 9 year old has gained leadership skills, self confidence, self awareness, and self management skills. This doesn't even include the physical activity that she maintains throughout her studio and practice time!
